OUR WORLD follows two prep school students (Drew and Owen) as they navigate the excitement and pitfalls of adolescence (i.e. sex, drugs and getting into the college of one's choice). When their alpha male status is threatened through a series of unfortunate and shocking events, adulthood is suddenly thrust upon them. The youths discover how quickly the age of innocence ends. Adding coal to the fire, Owen's mother (a jet-setting, young widow) learns-at the reading of her late husband's will-that her wealth has all but evaporated. A moral dilemma ensues. How far she will go to maintain appearances and her rung on the social ladder? Her partner in crime is a beautiful socialite who seems to have it all: a successful, loving husband; the perfect teenage son (Drew); and a secure place at the top of the social pyramid. While their son sleeps, Jazmín and Marcelo pack their bags for their last vacation before separating. Gaspar’s upbringing, possibly within the autistic spectrum, has marked a distance between them. Amidst blame and reproaches, a moment of playfulness emerges, perhaps a bridge to reunite.

Behind the Scenes / Making of documentary of Neil Young's 2022 album, 'World Record'

The original score was in a sorry state: the notes were carelessly marked, the lines were broken, and the paper was covered in smudges. I took the utmost care in reconstructing it: I erased the smudges, traced the lines with a ruler, blackened the bellies of the quarter notes, and added tails to the eighth and sixteenth notes. I believe that today's version of the work will stand up to even the most rigorous standards.

Quaver has a music shop and is teaching people about music with hilarious statues of famous music composers.

A lucid portrait of one of the most unconventional and influential composers of the 20th Century. Throughout his life, Lou Harrison (1917-2003) studied and experimented freely with western, eastern and custom-made instruments, embracing artistic playfulness over the classical rules of composition. His unbounded thinking and unbridled experimentation blossomed into the creation of a vast body of work for dance, opera, orchestra and unlikely pairings of chamber instruments. This film offers a rare glimpse into the intimate personal struggles and artistic development of a legendary composer. It is the culmination of more than two decades of research and documentation by filmmaker/music producer Eva Soltes who enjoyed a close relationship with Harrison.
